Who we are…
When you reach out to us, you will hear from one of two people – the first being our fearless leader and designer extraordinaire, Chris Ubinger. I am telling you, there is nothing that his guy will not try to pull off for an event. Chris has over 15 years of experience in event lighting and design. He has designed TONS of events around the area, partnering with various organization to provide lighting for some of their big events. Chris spent a good bit of time on the road with touring productions – but he decided that it was time to bring those skills back home to Pittsburgh! All the work that ILLUME has done is a combination of a client’s vision and Chris’s creativity.
Then there is me, I am Kristin Maher, the Director of Operations here at ILLUME. Most often when you call, you will get to talk to me! I got involved in the industry when I met Chris about four years ago. My training is in Human Resources, but my passion is in helping our clients design their dream events. I am a perfectionist with my work, and I specialize in the drapery – so I can promise you that if I am doing a head table backdrop for you, it will be perfectly symmetrical and it will take your breath away. 🙂
